Chako

Chako supplies unique recycled home accessories from the island of Zanzibar. As a social creative enterprise, we encourage our local community to recycle and to live sustainably. Creating our range of products from recycled materials is a powerful and innovative way of reducing their footprint on the island-s environment.

Our products are made from the liquor bottles, glass, wood and dhow sails that we find on the island. We celebrate and support local design and traditional handcraft skills, enabling local artisans to preserve their crafts and explore their creativity to create our original designs. All our products are made of high quality materials, and each piece is individually designed, and unique.
